Wall Shelves or Standing Shelves?

Wall-mounted stainless steel shelves are useful when floor space must remain clear. They are commonly installed above work tables, sinks, preparation counters, and dishwashing areas. Before ordering wall shelves, confirm the wall condition, fixing method, shelf length, shelf depth, and expected load.

Standing steel shelves are better for storage rooms, dry stores, cold rooms, and back-of-house areas where higher storage capacity is required. They can be supplied with multiple levels, adjustable feet, and different shelf spacing depending on the items being stored.

Material and Stainless Steel Grade

Stainless steel grade should be selected based on project requirements and application. SS304 is commonly used for many commercial kitchen fabrication items, while SS316 may be requested for selected high-corrosion or special project environments. Final material grade, sheet thickness, finish, and reinforcement should be confirmed in the quotation and approved drawing.

Avoid assuming every shelf is the same grade or thickness. Load requirement, installation method, shelf depth, and application should be checked before fabrication or supply.
